In our brushing school, children from the age of six learn through play why brushing their teeth is important and how they can best keep their teeth clean. Our specially trained dental hygienists take a good deal of time for our little patients, explaining everything calmly and then practising together with your child. Children and teenagers aged six to 18 can visit the brushing school once every six months. There are special tips for children with fixed braces to ensure that all of their teeth are still cleaned thoroughly. We also explain the foods, drinks and eating habits that can lead to dental problems and how we can eat a tooth-friendly diet.

BRUSHING – WITH THE RIGHT TECHNIQUE!
Children can start learning to brush their teeth between the ages of three and six. However, parents have to brush again afterwards, as the little ones do not yet have the motor skills to clean thoroughly. Children can clean more and more independently from around the age of six. In our practice’s brushing school, we watch how children clean their teeth themselves. Afterwards, disclosing tablets make visible the areas where plaque still remains. Then they can quickly see where they still need to brush more thoroughly. We give tips on the correct technique and explain to older children how to clean the interdental spaces with dental floss and interdental brushes.
