In some cases, such patients hardly respond to treatment. Measuring the immune parameters can provide information. A saliva sample is taken to the laboratory to determine whether the mucous membrane barrier is immunologically intact and whether antibodies are present in the saliva. A negative result means that the organism is more prone to infections. For further examinations, we will then refer you to your general practitioner or to the immunology department of a larger clinic.
