Periodontal disease –
stopping and preventing
The most common sort of gum disease is periodontal disease, also known as periodontitis. Here bacteria enter the gums and the tooth holding socket and trigger chronic infections. The bone and to some extent the gums gradually recede until the teeth loosen, change their position or even fall out. To prevent this, the periodontal disease must be stopped.
The way we treat it depends on the severity and progression of the disease. We apply additional antibiotic medicine to disinfect the gum pockets. When the infection has been stopped, there is a need to prevent further infections and a renewed outbreak of the disease. We create an individual, tightly-knit control and dental cleaning plan for you. Combined with careful tooth care at home and using holistic therapy approaches, we bring the periodontal disease to a stop together with you.
